Why I started Olivers Grocers
It's my attempt to save our food system
I grew up in a small town in Maine, spending summers working in restaurants serving some of the most delicious seasonal crops. Ever since, I've tried to buy local and fresh crops yet wondered why it's so hard to find good produce in grocery stores. It is because most retail food systems use centralized buying from industrialized agriculture farms, resulting in low quality veggies.
I'm starting Olivers Grocers to build my own food system, prioritizing local buying and sustainable produce, which tastes better.
This is the first iteration, and I sincerely appreciate your support helping me start a new way of buying food.
